Would you like to join this Holt? Then I’d first recommend that you read the Rules and How to role-play.

Have you already done that? Then here are 4 easy steps to joining Survivors of a Lost Holt:

There are three "types" of characters to play:

1. Adoptables. These characters are elves that someone else already has created and/or played. If you choose to play an adoptable character, read through his or her CIS (Character Information Sheet) carefully. Some of the information on the adoptables’ CIS might be missing or written only as a “-“. That means that you, the adopter, get to fill in whatever you like there (for example: you might get to choose your adopted characters’ eye color or weapons). These additions will be judged and – if they aren’t too impossible – approved.
Available adoptables can be found here and here. Look for green "adoptable"s under the elves' descriptions.

2. Wanderers. Elves that just happen to meet the survivors' small tribe. You can choose if you want them to come from a tribe the survivors already have met, or if you want to create your own tribe. For the sake of believability only three wanderers are allowed each Holt year and only two tribes of a certain animal-blood (i.e. there can be more than two elf tribes with just purebloods).
Currently the limit of wolf-blooded tribes has been reached. If you want to make a wolfrider, but don't want to adopt, please e-mail me (address at the bottom of this page) for more info on the available tribes.

3. Other tribes. The survivors stumble upon other elf tribes from time to time. When that happens all players will have the option to create and play one or more elves from that tribe. These elves can then either be left with their tribe when the survivors part with them or choose to join the survivors in their quest. They can also be "traded" for old characters. If you grow tired of your first elf, why not let him/her stay with this new tribe and create a new elf to play instead?
Available elf tribes are currently: Children of the Oaks
All elves with green names can be requested for adoption. E-mail me and I'll send you their CIS - you'll get to fill out most of the info yourself.

Currently we're only accepting applications for adoptables and elves from other tribes.

Creating your own character is a lot of fun, but it takes a little more time to do. First you need a blank CIS. Here’s a link to one that you can copy and paste.
When you have the CIS go here to get some pointers on how to fill it out.

One risk with making a character is that you by mistake copy something from someone else’s elf, such as name or clothes, without meaning to. Have a look around the Holt to assure yourself that no elves here are the same as yours.

When you’re done with your character you send his or her CIS to the Holt, or rather to me (Sofia), by this address: shadesofia@yahoo.se
Put Joining Lost Holt in the subject line; that way I will notice it faster. I will then get back to you ASAP and invite you to the Yahoo!Group so you can join the RPG.

You might be asked to make some changes or add something to your character’s CIS. Don’t take this as a personal insult; no one is perfect and no one remembers all the rules right away.
